The Education and Cultural Committee promotes the Hellenic American Chamber of Commerce’s stated mission to maintain, promote and expand cultural ties between America, Hellenic Americans and the Hellenic Republic as well as promote Hellenic cross multicultural ties with other communities. It does this in a number of ways including, under the auspices of the Consul General of the Hellenic Republic in New York having the well known ,highly attended, and much acclaimed Scholar Lecture Series on March 25 for Hellenic Independence Day and October 28 -OXI Day Lectures and Presentations. It’s events include among other things presentations by noted American, Hellenic American and Hellenic scholars, writers, historians, artists graphic and performing, on a variety of topics and fields. It also supports on the education and culture side other Chamber Committees as well as the Chamber’s Annual New York City Greek Film Festival.
