On March 26, the first of a series of calls took place among Greek and Greek American Organizations in order to pull our resources together to establish a coordinated effort to help not only those locally but also those in Greece during these unfortunate times.

 

It is important that we lay out how we can mobilize efforts in Greece and the Greek diaspora in the United States to deal with the ramifications of the Covid-19 pandemic. 

 

Greece’s infrastructure and its health care system are not equipped to handle such a strain. Furthermore, there is a strain that is placed on our medical community here, and abroad. With all this in mind, we believe that it is important that we all work together to beat this pandemic.
